I signed up to the Ipsy Glam bag last month and I was very excited to see what new products I was going to get in it. Have you ever heard of Ipsy bag? If you haven’t, let me tell you how it works. First of all, you have to sign up through their web page: http://www.ipsy.com
Then, you will be required to fulfill a questionnaire with your beauty preferences so that they can get to know your preferences better. This will take you about 5 minutes. Once they have signed you up, you will be asked to pay $10 a month and they will send you 5 sample or full size products along with a small bag like the one in the photo below.
This is what I received in my October Ipsy Glam bag:
- A golden Glam bag
- Tweezers from Emite Make Up
- Meet Matt(e) Hughes from The Balm
- Black Mascara from it Cosmetics
- Exfoliating Pumpkin Facial Scrub from Peter Lamas
- Therapy Session Hair Mask from eva-nyc
All these products were sample size products, which I found very disappointing as I was expecting at least half of them to be full size products. The brands were totally unknown for me expect the lipstick from the Balm and the mascara from it Cosmetics. I specifically asked, in my questionnaire, for more skin care products instead of make up, but it looks like they have not taken it into account, at least in this past month.
Up to date, I’ve sampled all the products and I have to say I am not a big fan of any of them. I did not dislike the mascara from it Cosmetics, which does a good job in lengthening and volumizing the eyelashes, and the lipstick from the Balm, which gives a very nice, natural lasting color to the lips. However, with all this said, I am not sure if I would buy them individually.
