I admit to be a total addict to lip balms and I probably have a dozen in my make up bag. There are just so many out there that it is difficult not to want them all.
I have recently tried two lip balms, with a hint of color in them, and out of the two, there is a winner and a looser.
The two that I have tried are:
–Maybelline Dr Rescue Medicated Balm ($6.59 approximately)
–Burt’s Bee Tinted Lip Balm ($7.83 approximately)
On one hand , I have Maybelline’s Lip Balm, which is supposed to soothe chapped lips with its eucalyptus and mint. I like that it gives an instant relief if you have chapped lips but it does not last for a long time and I do not feel like it is very hydrating. The color that I have chosen, Berry Soft, does not suit me at all. It has a violet touch to it that I do not love. Below, I have posted a picture for you to compare the tones. Maybe I picked up the wrong color, who knows. Overall, not a big fan of this product. Probably would not purchase it again.
Below, the two different tones the lip balms have. The first color shown is Burt’s Bee and the second one is Maybelline’s.
On the other hand, I have the Burt’s Bee Tinted Lip Balm, which I love. I love its packaging, color, hydration and most of all it is 100% natural. What more can you ask for? It gives a natural hint of color to the lips that makes you look like you are wearing makeup but in fact, you are not! Made of coconut oil, shea butter and natural waxes. Its natural ingredients, hydration and color, make this lip balm my number one must have in my bag. Plus, we have to make sure to keep our lips nourished in this cold winter.
Keep your lips nourished to glow.
See you next week!!
